Winter Skincare Routine
| My current skincare products for my face. |
-Sometimes I'll start my morning skincare with a few spritzes of Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater. This helps me to wake up, plus my skin is pretty dehydrated in winter!
-Then, in the bathroom I"ll splash cold water on my face and if I wasn't awake before, I am at this point! I've tried to cut back and using hot water on my skin, because I've found that this actually is more drying for my skin! This is so hard to do in winter, but the cold water really makes a difference.
-I'll roll some Burt's Bees Herbal Complexion Stick with Tea Tree Oil over any blemishes. Tea tree oil helps keep the blemishes from getting infected, thus making them disappear quicker.
-While my face is still damp, I gently rub Neutrogena body oil light sesame formula all over my cheeks, forehead, nose, and down my neck. I like to use this a winter moisturizer, when my skin is super dry.
-The for my lips I'll use either Burt's Bees Lip Balm or Smith's Rosebud Salve.
Before bed I'll wash my face with Neutrogena naturals purifying facial cleanser, pat dry with towel, and then massage in Neutrogena naturals multi-vitamin nourishing night cream. After I started using a night cream before bed, its really helped my skin stay hydrated all through the night and I've found that I wake up with less oil and a more even skin tone. Instead of looking like I've had a rough night, my skin looks more dewy and fresh in the morning! This helps when I'm in a rush and I can sometimes just get away without using any products in the morning.
When my pores feel enlarged, I use a clay mask I got in a Goddess Provisions box at one point, its called the Mermaid Ocean Mask, and here's a link to the Etsy shop : moon magic
